Sivaraman Eaganathan – Founder of Sivamyogalaya


With over a decade of experience in both the practice and teaching of yoga, Sivaraman Eaganathan is a passionate and dedicated Yoga Master. As the founder of Sivamyogalaya, his approach to yoga integrates both the physical and spiritual dimensions, guiding students on a path toward balance, healing, and personal growth through a holistic practice.


Sivaraman’s extensive studies at some of India's most renowned institutions, specializing in Yoga Therapy and Hatha Yoga traditions, have allowed him to blend ancient yogic wisdom with modern therapeutic techniques. His deep understanding of Vedantic and Western philosophies offers a well-rounded perspective on yoga, transcending physical postures to embrace the entirety of the human experience.


Rooted in his own journey as both a lifelong student and teacher, Sivaraman has trained numerous yoga teachers at the Adhyatma Yoga Academy in Bangalore, with students hailing from all corners of the world. I had the opportunity to serve as a Yoga Therapist and Wellness Consultant at Dwarikas Resort, Dulikhel. Here, I created an immersive environment for participants, encouraging them to deeply engage with yoga practice and teachings. These workshops helped participants experience holistic healing and personal transformation in a serene, supportive setting.

July 30, 2019

I became a Senior Yoga Instructor and Faculty Member at Adhyatma Yoga Academy, Bangalore. This role allowed me to train yoga teachers, both locally and internationally, sharing my knowledge of yoga therapy, Hatha yoga, and Vedantic philosophy. I designed customized courses to meet the needs of diverse groups, from beginners to advanced practitioners.

I completed a Yoga Vedanta Course at the Divine Life Society in Rishikesh. This deepened my understanding of philosophy, psychology, and the spiritual aspects of yoga. The course equipped me with profound insights into the Vedantic teachings, which I now integrate into my yoga therapy sessions and teacher training programs.
